​Shankey Branch First Church of God is governed by a board of trustees that oversees the financial aspects of the church. These positions are volunteering and are voted in by the congregation on two year terms at the annual business meeting held the 2nd week in January.

​Shankey Branch First Church of God believes that prayer and discernment is important for the life of the church and for its congregation members. The spiritual guidance committee is responsible for the spiritual guidance of the church.

Activity Committee
As a congregation, we believe and strive to work and serve the community of Celina and Clay County by reaching out to individuals dealing with a variety of situations. Our goals are to instill hope, and encourage each one we come in contact with. Our Activity committee helps by planning and serving in a number of ministries to serve others.

This committee serves those who are ill, hospitalized or grieving a loss of a loved one as well as endeavoring to encourage the congregation and the community.
