Pastor Joe and Dallas Clark began ministry at Shankey Branch First Church of God effective August 24, 2023, and have served in ministry since 1999.  Coming to Shankey Branch First Church of God from their most recent pastorate at Stroh Church of God, in Stroh, Indiana.

 

They have previously served as pastor at Coshocton Church of God, in Coshocton, Ohio, Millville Avenue First Church of God, in Hamilton, Ohio, and Englewood First Church of God, in Englewood, TN as well as service as Associate Pastor at First Church of God in Lancaster, Ohio.  He received recognition of his calling by God in the form of ordination by Church of God Ministries with offices in Anderson, Indiana, in September of 2001 through the General Assemble of Ohio Church of God Ministries.  

 

Previously, he also received an Associates Degree in Business Administration, and studied Accounting as well.  

Pastor Joe is passionate about leading a congregation that desires to see people come to realize their need for God to be the central focus in their lives.  He has been equally successful in ministry to children, youth, working age adults and senior citizens.

As a couple in ministry, they believe in the need for discipleship of believers, and community outreach and believe that the work of the church is best done when living out God’s Word outside of the local church building walls.

They have three adult children and 4 grandchildren, all who reside in Eastern Tennessee.
